The team investigates the death of a pastor in Georgia during the 1950s. While there, Mitch is faced with a choice testing the limits of what the team is allowed to do. Meanwhile, Van Zant breaks into the Institute.

When mercenaries attack the Institute, the alpha team has split apart. Making their way through the danger, cut off from their friends, each member must make a sacrifice to stay alive.
A team of investigators travels back in time with the Chronofilm Institute, observing history but never interfering. Eventually, they will have to decide whether to keep their past intact or change it for the hope of a better future.
