2. Episode 2

The remaining infantry recruits face tough discipline and exhausting physical tests as they strive to prove they can take on one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.

3. Episode 3

The gruelling training course is reaching the halfway mark. Forty-five joined the platoon – now only 34 remain. Who is prepared to do whatever the army asks of them? The instructors offer raw and honest insights into the realities of modern warfare.

4. Episode 4

The platoon heads out to their most challenging exercise to date, but there is one recruit who isn’t joining them. Pte Curtis Dryden surprised everyone by not returning after leave and is declared Awol. His case is escalated to company commander, Capt Gardner.

5. Episode 5

In the final episode, we see which recruits can overcome the remaining hurdles to prove they are able infanteers who could be deployed at any minute. Forty-five recruits signed up to D1 platoon, now just over half remain. In the final weeks, only those that meet the army’s high standards will make it through.
